If you recall my post a couple weeks back, about the way the Blizzard was forcing PayPal to attack gold, leveling, and Account selling sites, then you might be interested in an update.
It seems that Blizzard is now calling Gold, Leveling, and Accounts, licensed products. However so far, I have not found any authorized seller, nor has Blizzard yet responded to my request for information on licensing these types of products. It sounds like a lot of mumbo jumbo to me. Can you claim these are licensed products and not allow anyone to actually license them? I am sure you can, however it also makes me wonder on what grounds Blizzard can claim these are licensed products.
This is the information we have at this point... Blizzard is freezing PayPal accounts. Whatever monies are in them, is being frozen, and confiscated. Even when PayPal hasn't been used to sell Blizzard's "products". Blizzard is doing a blanket coverage of all the monies. Not really sure how they can do this, however I suppose the next step will be a class action law suit.
If you are a company who has been affected by this, please email my gmail account, spitt1. I will then pass along the information to others who are also of like mind, and will be starting the lawsuit.
If you are thinking that you are safe, just because you haven't gotten the cease and desist emails... think again. Blizzard has made the first few companies test runs. Soon, they will go after any product which they haven't "licensed" like WoW guides, or possibly sites which bring you the truth about their latest attacks... like this one.
