MyVegas BlackJack Guide

MyVegas BlackJack GuideThis MyVegas BlackJack Basic Strategy Guide, is made specifically for the MyVegas Facebook game, where you can earn real comps to casinos in Las Vegas, NV at MGM/Mandalay and Station Casino properties. Additionally there are rewards for Wolfgang Puck, LV Monorail, Sugar Factory, and the LV Motor Speedway. This MyVegas BlackJack Basic Strategy Guide takes into consideration basic strategy as well as proper betting strategies.

Before I start this MyVegas BlackJack Basic Strategy Guide, let me tell you a little about me. I began dealing at the age of 25, as a Las Vegas Blackjack Dealer. I have been in the business now, for several years, and know my way around the table. I can deal Blackjack, Craps, Roulette, and some of the other "carnival" games, as well as 5 Card Stud and Texas Hold'em Live poker.

If you are playing, and want advice or even want the dealer to smile and talk with you, you will get more proper advice by tipping the dealer. Don't wait to do it, start out in the first 5 hands and continue doing it throughout the time the dealer is there. If you wait till the end, or tell the dealer that you tip when you win, you can expect bad advice - I know because I am one of the ones who has given bad advice. 99% of customers who say they tip when they win, don't. What should you tip? 5% to 10% of what you win -or- 1/5 of your bet every 5 hands or so -or- 1/10 to 1/20 of your bet EVERY hand. Don't wait till you have won 3 in a row, the chance of you winning a 4th or 5th in a row is greatly diminished and we know you will blame us, when you lose it.

I also know which bets are the best in a casino, the worst, and ways to cheat. I am not here today to teach you how to cheat at Blackjack, even though this is a cheat site of sorts. Cheating in Nevada is a Felony, and if caught you WILL goto jail.

MyVegas BlackJack Basic Strategy Guide Rules and Info

So lets get started with the MyVegas BlackJack Basic Strategy Guide with some base rules to follow and general information.

MyVegas BlackJack does not allow you to surrender. To surrender means to fold without taking any cards, but you only lose 1/2 of your bet. Most casinos these days do not allow this unless you are on a specialty table like Super Fun 21, Spanish Blackjack, or other similar games.

MyVegas BlackJack allows you to split any same value cards. You can even split 2 tens, be they K-Q or J-10. Most casinos will also allow you to split any same value cards, but will limit the amount of times you can re-split. MyVegas BlackJack does not allow resplits, and Aces are also not allowed to be resplit. Most casinos will let you split most cards upto a total of 4 "hands", but they will not let you resplit Aces (unless you are on a specialty game such as Spanish 21 or SuperFun 21). When you split Aces, you get one card on each. Splitting any other value allows you to take any quantity of cards there-after, until you bust.

MyVegas BlackJack does allow you to double down after a split. Some casinos do this, check to verify which do, and which do not. This means if you split 3s and get a 7 or 8, you can then double down in MyVegas BlackJack, hoping for a 10.

If you split cards, refer to the hard (or soft) hands on what to do. If you were to split a low card, and got the low card back, such as 3s, and got another 3, treat this as a 6, since you can no longer split them.

MyVegas BlackJack will always ask if you want insurance when the dealer has an Ace up (unless you opt out on the mobile version in settings), or you can take even money if you have Blackjack. It's generally accepted that you should NEVER take insurance/even money. However so far, with the Ace up MyVegas BlackJack has had it a good 2/3 of the time. Most strip casinos now offer 6 to 5 Blackjacks. This means you get 6 chips, for every 5 bet (versus 3 to 2). You cannot take even money on Blackjack, when the dealer has an Ace up, however you can take insurance, which is the EXACT same thing as even money on a 3-2 game.

You should never split 5s or 10s (value) - it's not a matter of giving up a winning hand, but rather the odds are against you to win them both, which would instead lead to a push, rather then a win.

MyVegas BlackJack Basic Strategy Guide - Betting Strategy

When it comes to playing in Las Vegas at casinos, there are a few different ways you can properly bet. They are all based on positive progression bets. This means when you lose, you play your table minimum. When you win, you increase your bets a bit. Either way, is a poor choice if you double your bet everytime. When you are losing and doubling up, when you finally win, you just won your original bet. When you double up after winning everytime, you lose your original bet, and you will go down. Instead (and again which way you prefer is up to you), we want to bet progressive winning. This means after winning the first hand, take it back. 2 hands, you either increase by one chip, double up, or by half. The best option of the 3 is by one chip, but again it's up to you. Just make sure you take the original bet back first.

When playing MyVegas BlackJack, understand one concept here - the game shuffles after every hand, resetting the chances of winning. Card counting, or tracking the aces and tens will not work here. In Las Vegas, you can increase your advantage over the house by as much as 7%. However card counting while not illegal, will get you banned from playing in all the casinos owned by that company - you'll be black listed. Card counters play deviations to the basic strategy based on what has gone out of a deck.

As far as optimizing your Loyalty Point gain in this game...

Note: This MyVegas BlackJack Basic Strategy Guide will work on any Single Deck Blackjack game where the following is true - allow any 2 same value cards to be split, allows a double after a split, allows for the first 2 cards to be doubled down on, no matter the value AND dealer stays on all 17's. If any one of these is not true, then this MyVegas BlackJack Basic Strategy Guide will NOT work for your Blackjack game, completely. However it will work for the most part. There are some deviations which we can go over at a later point, if anyone leaves a message in the comments.

Each of these apps are free, and free to play, but you can earn Loyalty Points with them.
