I had found and posted this article on Jun 28, 2009 at my kin/info site:

http://massively.joystiq.com/2008/06/08/is-the-world-of-harry-potter-turbines-next-mmo-project/

which had lead me to believe that the next Turbine project was going to be about Harry Potter…

Speculation/discussion site: http://harrypotterforum.com/discussion/1809/pottermore/p1

has info showing Pottermore trademark Filing date: was 24 July 2009 by Proprietor: Warner Bros. Entertainment Inc

The scuttlebutt at the Lotro forums circa 2009 was that WB bought Turbine for their store technology for the upcoming Hobbit movie and perhaps a Harry Potter and Twilight game franchise

I’ve always thought a Harry Potter game would be smashing/ brill 🙂 what with the craze for games you can fly (wasn’t that the main reason most of us tried Aion??) the PvP possibilities of quidditch, Wizard Duels, even Wizards Chess…

instant Flue travel to fixed interior spots, Portkeys to fixed exterior spots and Apparation and Disapparation to any spots by of age wizards who had passed their tests would make for a world quick to get around in…

Crafting/Skills … besides the learning of spells and proper wand technique could include Herbology, Potions, Charms, Transfigurations Astronomy etc….

since I personally haven’t liked the direction turbine took with lotro since 2008 and Moria’s release I had wished some company other than Turbine had the green light to make a Harry Potter game but MAYBE their offering might be as good as at least their Shadows of Angmar was….

(but then several other companies had had Middle Earth Online up before Turbine used that and modified it to become Lotro, some MEO info:

In any regards Pottermore debuts in a week so guess the waiting begins…..

Pottermore is a free website that builds an exciting online experience around the reading of the Harry Potter books.

Come back on 31st July to find out how you can get the chance to enter Pottermore early.
