Bulvinkel the Spirit Moose – WoW Hunter Pet Guide

How to Obtain Bulvinkel the Spirit MooseIn this WoW Hunter Pet Guide, we'll teach you how to Obtain Bulvinkel the Spirit Moose. If you're a hunter and enjoy finding rare pets to tame, then Bulvinkel the Spirit Moose should be on your list. There is only one spawn location, and killing the mob only nets you one item worth 25g. But for hunters, this prize is immaculate.

Before I go into how to Obtain Bulvinkel the Spirit Moose, I should mention that this is a tie-in to a cartoon from The Rocky and Bullwinkle show, where as Bullwinkle is the moose that is friends with rocky the squirrel. I am a bit surprised that they also didn't add in Rocky, a blue squirrel pet into the game as well.

How to Obtain Bulvinkel the Spirit Moose

Dugi's WoW Guides - Official Website

We start this Bulvinkel the Spirit Moose guide by moving into Stormheim. We're looking for a location near the Halls of Valor, but more specifically to the coords  74,84 on the cliffs to the southeast of the Halls of Valor.

Bulvinkel the Spirit Moose Map

You won't be able to reach Bulvinkel the Spirit Moose by walking along the shore, as he is actually on a very steep cliff which is unclimable. Instead, you will need to head over the bridge towards the Halls of Valor. When you hit the first set of stairs, turn right and go towards the end of the balcony and then jump off. There are 2 ways you will be able to jump over the short wall, as shown in my screenshot below.

Bulvinkel the Spirit Moose - Balcony Jump

Once you get on the other side of the balcony, turn left and head up the mountain. There is a visible path for you to follow, leading the way up. At the top, the rocks will become jagged, and you will need to watch where you step, so you don't fall off the mountain and die. If you do die, it's a long ways back from the GY. Just before you get to the grassy area with goats and Bulvinkel the Spirit Moose' patrol area, you're going to find a very big drop. You will die if you attempt to jump here, so you'll need a way to slow fall your way down like with a Goblin Glider Kit. Use it before you splat on the rocks below.

Bulvinkle the Spirit Moose Patrol Area

Bulvinkle the Spirit Moose will actually move around quite a bit, so you're going to need to look around, before you discount him being in the area. However you should know that his spawn timer runs about 6 hours. So you might be in for a wait. If you want to idle and wait for him, you can kill the nearby goats and use it to level up your skinning, or just pop onto another realm (recommended if you don't have skinning).

One thing to note is that if you do realm hop, you will need to find a group leader who is in Stormheim with you. If not, then you won't be able to hop over. This is because with the WoW Legion expansion, Blizzard made a change to help prevent abuse. So just look for groups who are questing in Stormheim.

Final advice for taming Bulvinkle the Spirit Moose

Don't bring bodyguards. They will attack Bulvinkle the Spirit Moose, which means you will need to run-away and hopefully disengage to preserve the spawn.

No Man’s Sky Hints & Tips to get you started

I've been playing No Man's Sky for a bit now, and wanted to share with you these No Man's Sky Hints & Tips which have helped me to succeed (thus far) in the game. These are only 8 tips to get you started, the full guide is in the works and will be released at a later time.

No Man's Sky Hints & Tips

  • no-mans-sky-hints-tipsDo not go AFK for too long. Spending time on a planet's surface consumes the power supply of our life support system, which must be regularly recharged. If we deplete your energy reserves, our character will die. Furthermore, weather conditions on the planets can vary, for example, at night the temperature can drop significantly, and during the day we will face vicious storms that significantly reduce the time our character may spend outside the ship. If we want to leave the game for a while, it is safer to do so with the character sitting in the cockpit of our spaceship.
  • Every planet has significant deposits of carbon, zinc, iron and any one of the fuels available in the game, making it virtually impossible for us to get stuck on a planet that because of poor resource management - in the worst case, we will be forced to take a long walk on foot to resupply.
  • Hoarding resources other than fuel isn't really worth it - what we procure on the surface of a planet (and what we do not need on the spot to improve or repair something) is better sold for any kind of profit than left to occupy our precious inventory space until it may or may not be useful or sold for 3 percent more cash. Sooner or later we'll stumble upon this resource once again. And even if we don't, we can always buy it for credits - assuming we empty our cargo hold regularly, we will soon collect enough money not to fret at the thought of purchasing this or that resource on the market.
  • The Scanner is a source of some very valuable information. By looking at the color of the marker we are able to determine what can be found in a particular location. The red markers indicate isotopes (i.e. various types of fuels), yellow ones - oxides (usually containing zinc), blue - silicates (most often with platinum), and the white ones lead to one of the much rarer elements, usually highly-valued on the market, such as aluminum or gold, or perhaps to a gift box. The purple color symbolizes Knowledge Stones that allow us to learn a single word of an alien language, while the darkgreen markers usually lead to camps where we can find transmitters or buildings.
  • We should also use the Scanner when off-world. Very often, it enables us to discover mineral deposits, trading outposts, wrecks or even factory located somewhere on the planet's surface, and save time on searching for a suitable place to land.
  • When we go planetside, it is good to first decide on a suitable landing spot instead of choosing one at random. If we can land in the vicinity of a building that enables us to trade, we can save time on trips into space and back.
  • Sometimes we can come across a wreckage of some other spacecraft. This is a free opportunity to swap our current vessel for a better one, but you should keep in mind that the "new" vehicle will have most of its components damaged and restoring the ship to a usable condition can be very time consuming - sometimes it is outright more cost-effective to purchase a new, fully operational vessel on a space station.
  • The easiest way to solve the problem of shortage of space in our inventory is to proceed through the game's plot until we acquire the AtlasPass v1 access card. The card will enable us to buy additional inventory slots on the space stations (which are found in every system) we visit. While it is a one-off purchase on each station, after visiting several star systems, our problem of lack of space will become much less annoying. If we do not yet have an AtlasPass, we have to carefully explore the planets - sometimes the opportunity to increase our cargo capacity awaits at landmarks.

Hopefully these No Man's Sky Hints & Tips will help you to achieve greatness within the game. If you have any No Man's Sky Hints & Tips you would like to add to this list, please leave a comment below.

Nethershards and Invasion Guide

If you want Nethershards, then you need to play in the invasions which happen every 4 hours. Below, we have placed the Nethershards and Invasion Guide which will go over how to play the invasions and the different steps involved on how to get your Nethershards. Then at the very bottom of this guide, there is also the Reset Nethershards and Invasion trick, which allows you to start at the very beginning of an invasion without waiting for your group.

Nethershards and Invasion Guide

When are the invasions coming?

The Legion invasions (and Demon Hunter early access) arrived August 9, 2016 (US) and August 10, 2016 (EU). The will continue until August 30, 2016 when Legion launches, and will progressively become more frequent until that point.

Nethershard Currency

Nethershards and Invasion GuideNethershard is a new currency that will be specific to the Legion pre-launch event. These can be earned via invasion scenario events.

  • Stage 1: No shards gained from any sources;
  • Stage 2: You can get 5-10 Nethershard if you help killing the mini-bosses. You get a Small Legion Chest (which will contain 5 Nethershard, guaranteed iLevel 700 Fel-Touched Gear*, and a chance for iLevel 700** weapons, with very unique models) regardless if you helped or not, which contains 5 Nethershard (not 10);
  • Stage 3: This is where you get most Nethershard. Most mini-bosses award you from 5-15 Nethershard (maybe even more). If you help to kill a lot of mini-bosses, you get more Nethershard. So far, I have not gained any Nethershard for doing other objectives, such as breaking legion buildings or helping NPCs, but I might need more data/invasions. When the stage ends, you get 10 more Nethershard, regardless of your position in the map.
  • Stage 4: You get a Large Legion Chest (which will contain 10 Nethershard, guaranteed iLevel 700 Fel-Touched Gear*, and a chance for iLevel 700** weapons, with very unique models) after the boss is dead, which contains 10 Nethershard and other loot, explained in other comments.

Note that aside from Nethershards, the invasions grant achievements, and also the Stage 2 and Stage 4 chests can have unique weapons in them (that can be upgraded to item level 725).

The items available for Nethershards include transmog sets and item level 700 necks, rings, trinkets, weapon upgrade items, and a pet! These items are sold by Captive Wyrmtongue, who can be found in the Illidari camps in all invasion zones, as well as Orgrimmar and Stormwind City as below.
Note that the vendors in Orgrimmar and Stormwind City require that you complete the Broken Shore scenario to see them; the ones in the invasion zones are visible regardless.

*This armor is the same armor that makes up the 4 transmog armor ensembles available for 200 Nethershard. If you are wanting only the transmog appearances and not the gear, collecting it piece-by-piece from these chests will be presumably much slower than buying the Ensemble.
**These weapons can be upgraded to iLevel 725 using  Coalesced Fel, which will also be available during the pre-launch event

Vendor Locations

  • Orgrimmar - At [52,58], on the upper level, near the zeppelin tower for Undercity (Map).

  • Stormwind City - At [41,79], on the western edge of the Mage Quarter overlooking the coast (Map).

The inventory of the Captive Wyrmtongues is as follows:

Item Cost Model Type/Slot
Ensemble: Fel-Infused Cloth Armor 200 Nethershard Fel-Infused Cloth Armor Transmog Set Appearance
Ensemble: Felshroud Leather Armor 200 Nethershard Felshroud Leather Armor Transmog Set Appearance
Ensemble: Fel-Chain Mail Armor 200 Nethershard Fel-Chain Mail Armor Transmog Set Appearance
Ensemble: Felforged Plate Armor 200 Nethershard Felforged Plate Armor Transmog Set Appearance
Infernal Cord 50 Nethershard - Neck
 Legionnaire's Fel Pendant 50 Nethershard - Neck
Legion Bound Ring 50 Nethershard - Finger
Nether Twisted Band 50 Nethershard - Finger
 Mo'arg Clan Token 50 Nethershard - Trinket
Felstalker Spine 50 Nethershard - Trinket
 Inquisitor's Talisman 50 Nethershard - Trinket
 Demon Commander's Drape 50 Nethershard - Back
Felbat Pup 150 Nethershard - Pet
Coalesced Fel 150 Nethershard - Weapon Upgrade
Glaive of the Fallen 100 Nethershard - Weapon

Invasion Scenarios

There will be 6 different invasion events during the pre-launch patch. After the invasions start, they will become more and more frequent as we get closer to the launch of the expansion (August 30, 2016).
Each invasion is a scenario entered by anyone that moves into the invasion area, and has 4 stages. There is a progress bar for Stages 1 and 3 which is zone-wide - you will see how close you are to the next stage. Stage 2 and 4 have boss objectives, and completing these will complete the stage.
Note that the invasion instance you enter may already be in progress, with potentially a stage or stages completed already.
The stages are below:

  • Stage 1 - Defend against a general invasion point (e.g. Orgrimmar Rear Gate). Mobs are fairly trivial in nature, although numerous.
  • Stage 2 - Defeat two lieutenants and a commander. The commander spawns after the lieutenants are killed. These bosses hit pretty hard, so DPS and healers have to watch threat.
  • Stage 3 - Defeat the invading forces marked on the map - a zone-wide objective, with various activities that will advance the progress bar:

    • There are mobs to kill, of various sizes and strengths. These can be found at invasion points, marked on the map.
    • There are protected "Legion Structures" also marked on the map. You must kill the mobs protecting the structures; doing so will make the Protected Fel Crystals attackable. When the crystals are destroyed, the structure collapses.
    • There are various mini bosses scattered around the zone during this phase. These hit pretty hard, so ideally they need to be tanked or kited. These mini bosses often drop Nethershards, so it's worthwhile helping to kill them! They are marked on the map with skulls.
  • Stage 4 - Defeat a boss NPC at the original invasion point (requires a group). These bosses hit VERY hard and have some abilities that will kill you if you do not avoid them (e.g. breath mechanics - make sure to stand behind the boss!)

Some other miscellaneous notes:

  • Zones that have active invasions are marked very clearly on the world map. Note that only zones in Kalimdor and Eastern Kingdoms are involved.

    • Mousing over the invasion icon will show you a timer, indicating how much time is left in the invasion, so that you can get there.
  • Entering a zone with an active invasion will put you into a scenario instance. There will be multiple instances going on at one time, so arriving at any point while the invasion is active will allow you to participate.
  • There are various vehicles you can use to assist you during the invasion (e.g. Demolishers, Glaives). These usually have a few abilities that will do area damage to mobs.
  • Most of the mobs killed for the invasions do not drop anything, although minibosses do. The shards/chests that are rewarded go into your bags automatically (even if you are dead when the appropriate stage is completed).

TOTAL: 25-80+ Nethershard per invasion

Completing a single invasion rewards the achievement Stand Against the Legion.
Completing 6 of the invasions (as listed below) will reward Defender of Azeroth: Legion Invasions

The above achievements will be Feats of Strength (similar to Tripping the Rifts from the Cataclysm pre-expansion event) that will not be obtainable after Legion launches.

Another Feat of Strength that will be exclusively available during the Legion pre-launch event is It All Makes Sense Now (collect all 12 of the pamphlets from Doomsayer NPCs in Orgrimmar/Stormwind).

Getting to the Invasions

Below is a summary of ways to get to the invasions. I have included many different routes, including some that may be obvious (for those who may be returning to the game after a while).

Reset Nethershards and Invasion Trick

Now that you have an idea on where to go and what you need to do, it's time to explain how to Reset Nethershards and Invasion Trick.

  • The first thing to do, is get into a Proving Grounds then teleport out and head off to the invasion. At any time as long as its before you kill the last boss on stage 4 you can teleport back to the Proving Grounds, and back out again. The event will reset back to stage 1, then just rinse and repeat for as long as you like.
  • An alternative method, which also works, is to die during the event, rez at the graveyard, and then re-log. This will also reset back to stage 1.

However since there appears to be no Nethershards dropped on the first round, it might not be worth it - this will be up to you to decide!

Rare 100k Gold Item Farming guide – WoW

Black Venom Blade - Rare 100k Gold itemHow in the world (of warcraft) can there be a Rare 100k Gold item? Tis true however. There is an item which is so rare in WoW, that it can go for as much as 100k in WoW Gold. Why? Because at the time of writing, there are less then 10 available across both US and EU servers.

Rare 100k Gold Item Farming guide

So in the Rare 100k Gold item we are going to farm for, is called the Black Venom Blade.  It's a BiS weapon for level 29 twinks because of its item level scaling.  The reason for the high price is due to it's rarity and the fact that it can ONLY be obtained in "Battered Junkboxes" with pickpocketing low level mobs.

So you will need a rogue character to do the farming - which partly explains why it's so rare. Think about it, only a rogue, and only a rogue who will farm low level mobs for Battered Junkboxes.

Where you go is really up to you, but you both the Stockades and the Catacombs in Duskwood near Raven Hill are popular spots.

Instructions to farming Rare 100k Gold item

This is easier on a high level rogue, but a level 55+ should work fine.

  1. Buy a Glyph of Pickpocket and Glyph of Lockpicking
  2. Change first talent to Nightstalker for faster movement.
  3. Goto Stockades or the Catacombs in Duskwood near Raven Hill
  4. Sprint out and repeat till  bags are full of Battered Junkboxes
  5. Open all and sell or trash junk
  6. Rinse/Repeat steps 3-5 till you fine the item.

This might take 10 runs, it might 100. The key is to keep doing it till you get it.

Bonus Tip: About 15 minutes after you pickpocket a mob, the mob will reset. So if you are clearing an instance in 20 minutes, just return to start and do it over. This way you don't run the risk of needing to reset the instance over and over.

Agar.io Tactics – Beginner and Intermediate tips

Agar.io TacticsAfter playing Agario for just a few hours, I have come up with some fun Agar.io Tactics. Have you tried Agar.io yet? There are similar games to Agar.io, in that you try to eat up smaller organisms, to become larger, and eventually reign supreme. Or at least that's the hope. Reality isn't often that good.

It's a good strategy game, with pvp qualities, alliances, back stabbing, and multi player, similar to Chess, but with a lot more players on the board at all times. The more time you spend on a game, the more levels you achieve, the more coins you get, and of course more free skins.

Osmos is one of the more famous of these types of games, but Agar.io is multiplayer and can have upwards of 30k people playing on a server. Continue reading "Agar.io Tactics – Beginner and Intermediate tips"
