Oculus Rift Headset Sale starts Jan 6, 2016

Oculus Rift Headset

Everyone has been waiting for the Oculus Rift Headset, the Facebook-owned company that really brought the idea of a personal virtual reality into the mainstream again, to finally launch its own consumer version of its headset. On Monday the company announced that it will start taking pre-orders for its Oculus Rift headset on Jan. 6 (price set at $600 currently).

That means we shouldn’t have to wait too long to see how virtual reality versus augmented reality plays out on the market — or indeed how quickly consumers will jump on the bandwagon.

Included with the Oculus Rift Headset pre-order will be EVE’s Valkyrie and Lucky’s Tale.

On a side note, you can also get the Samsung Gear VR, which uses Oculus technology to bring the same experience as the Oculus Rift to Samsung Galaxy Note5, Galaxy S6 edge+, Galaxy S6, and Galaxy S6 edge.

If you had plans to make a game for the Oculus Rift Headset, you still have time to purchase the development kit for the VR headset still. Get the Oculus Rift VR Development Kit.
